This is the moment you have all been waiting for!

The (almost)annual event of the Drachenwald Minstrels' Guild is back with more music, more merrymaking, more music, more storytelling, more music, more dancing, more music and more food!

Bards' Night V takes place on 1-3 October 2004 in Shurdington Social Centre, Cheltenham, sponsored by the Shire of Mynydd Gwyn.

Here is your chance to shine and show off your existing skills! Here's also your chance to learn new skills and arts that you thought you couldn't do! There will be classes on all aspects of the Bardic Arts, singing, playing music, dancing, making musical instruments, musical research. The event takes place in the Shurdington Social Centre, Shurdington Village, Cheltenham. Site is open from 18.00 on Friday 1st of October 2004 to 14.00 Sunday 3rd October 2004 at the Social Centre, Bishop Road, Shurdington, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.. The site is wet, the Village Green is dry. The site itself has parking, disabled access and disabled toilets. Pets are not allowed in the halls. There is limited crash space so please advise early if you require it. A list of nearby B&B is listed on the shire web pages www.mynydd-gwyn.org.

Directions

By Road:

From the M5:

  1. Take junction 11a onto the A417 going East

  2. Turn left on the A46 at the next roundabout, approx 1 mile, going North to Shurdington.

  3. Turn left approx 1.5 miles later on to Church Lane, the turn off for the Social Centre is signposted but the sign is small. Look for SCA signs at this point.

  4. Take the second left turn, in front of the Green, opposite the turn to the church.

  5. Turn left into the Centre car park.

From other roads, check the roadmap for the A46 from Cheltenham. The turn to the Social centre is just inside the village from this direction.
Shurdington can ONLY be reached from the A46!

By Train
The nearest train station is Cheltenham. We can organise transfer to site by prior arrangement. Please let us know day and time of arrival.

By Coach
The easiest coach stop is Cheltenham Royal Well station, which is served by National Express coaches. We can organise transfer to site by prior arrangement. Please let us know day and time of arrival.

By Air
Nearest airports are Bristol and Birmingham. Transfer to site can be provided again by prior arrangement.
